Tess Perko

Before retiring, I taught English at Bay Area Community Colleges, strongly believing in the opportunities that community colleges offer to the diverse population of the Bay Area. Now, I spend my days reading, writing, raising money for college students, teaching essay-writing and journaling to emancipated foster youth, studying Spanish, and growing roses.

My debut novel, Promises: A Daughter’s Journey of Heartbreak and Self-discovery is due out February 3, 2025 with She Writes Press.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog. It includes posts on writing practice, writing experiences, and life experiences.
